Product Overview
Brute Performance Kawasaki H2 1000 A-Arm Bushing Kit
Fits:
Kawasaki H2 1000 All Models
Fix up the loose rubber front A-arm bushings that came from the factory.
These replacement front A-arm bushings are designed to improve durability, reduce wear, and provide a tighter, longer-lasting suspension pivot system for the KRX 1000.
Wear Resistant UHMW Construction
The grade of UHMW we chose is more impact and wear resistant than the grey material currently available for KRX bushings.
It is an excellent choice for dirty, wet environments.
Benefits:
- Impervious to moisture
- Resistant to fuel and oils
- Excellent impact resistance
- Designed for long service life
Heat Treated Steel Pivot Pins
Our pins are precision ground and heat treated to prevent premature wear on the pivot surface.
Pin Specifications
- Roundness: 0.000080"
- Diameter tolerance: 0.0002"
- Surface finish: 8 Ra microinch (practically a mirror finish)
Heat treated pins will not deform like non-treated pins and help prevent bolts from coming loose.
- Harder surface than nickel-coated pins
- Super slick surface finish
- Provides a tight fit while allowing the pivot bushing to move freely
Square O-Ring Seal Design
Each bushing is internally sealed with a square O-ring.
Square O-rings have more surface area contacting the pin, providing better and longer sealing life.
Benefits:
- Keeps grease in
- Keeps water and dirt out
- Helps prevent wear in the pin area
OEM End Caps Reused
OEM end caps will be reused with our bushings.
The end caps:
- Prevent wear on the A-arm tabs
- Help with installation of the arm assembly
- Act as an additional dirt and water barrier
- Help protect the bushing surfaces
Grease Fitting Installation
All bushing kits need to be periodically greased.
Grease zerks installed on OEM and some aftermarket arms are a must. This will prevent premature wear.
Grease Zerk Kit Available
We offer 1/4-28 thread standard grease fittings with drill and tap.
If you already have your own zerks available, use them. We do not use anything special.
Installation locations:
- 45° fittings install on the bottom side of the upper A-arms
- Straight fittings install on the bottom of the lower A-arms
It is important to drill the fitting holes as close as possible to the intersecting pipe.
Interference can occur between the grease fitting and the frame rail after installation.
Greasing Instructions
After installation:
- Grease the bushing set until you feel resistance in the grease gun
Do not over-grease.
Over-greasing these bushings can result in:
- Blown out O-ring
- Damaged bushing
