Billet 6061 aluminum anodized hardcoat black nitrogen caps for FOX shocks.
Genuine FOX Schrader valve assembled with high temp EPDM O-rings.
Black aluminum caps with secondary seal ring.
The OEM caps have a rubber pellet fill system that is known to leak. Once the nitrogen leaks out of your shock it will damage the internal components.
Will work to replace the rubber pellet caps and electronic suspension caps with the little screw in them.
To determine if you have the correct sized shock, measure the reservoir diameter. Diameter will be 2.600 inches as seen in the picture.
Basic Instructions:
Cap exchange can be done with the shock upright in the machine - no shock oil will drain or spill out.
Fully extend the shock or completely remove the shock from the machine.
Use a small drill bit (such as a 3/32 or smaller) to drill out the rubber pellet and deplete the shock of the nitrogen before attempting to remove the cir clip.
A small needle can also be used to pierce the rubber pellet.
Tap the cap inward exposing the cir clip. Remove the clip and cap.
Install your new caps and reinstall the cir clip.
Use a no-loss chuck to refill your shocks.
Recommended pressure is between 150 - 200 PSI.
If you don’t have the equipment, your local performance shop probably does.
Please use the correct equipment to fill your shocks. Be aware you are working with high pressure gas filled shocks.
