Bolt-on threaded inserts replace the factory brass and rubber fuse box wing-nut assembly that commonly spins and gets stuck.
The design eliminates the frustration of the OEM setup and includes an encapsulated end to help keep dirt and water out, reducing the chance of corrosion or seizure.
Installation Notes
Re-use your factory wing nuts and apply a small dab of grease to the OEM wing nuts before installation. These inserts are plastic, so wing nuts should only be finger-tightened—do not over-tighten.
Removal of Stuck OEM Inserts
If the factory inserts are already spinning or stuck, grip the backside with Vise-Grips and remove them carefully.
