We designed and produced this product to combat the engagement lag and slipping of the factory wet clutch in our turbo KRX. While it can be used in a variety of different configurations, the primary purpose of this kit is:
- Instant engagement
- High horsepower capability
- Overdrive options
This product is intended for customers who understand CVT clutch tuning. The information below outlines the basic clutch combinations and their intended use. We do not provide phone support for clutch tuning, clutch weight selection, or setup.
Clutch Information
- Ridge and H2 primaries are very similar to the movable side of a KRX 3-arm clutch with different weights.
- H2 primary is basically a Ridge clutch with heavier weights and a coated spider (we're not sure what benefit the coating provides).
- H2 secondary is very similar to a KRX secondary with a different spring and sits slightly farther out on the transmission shaft.
- a h2 secondary is the correct backspacing for clutch alignment with a h2 or ridge primary
- a krx secondary can work but will sit further out on the transmission shaft, possibly resulting in the clutches spinning at idle
- Ridge secondary is smaller than the KRX or H2 secondary.
- Provides approximately 15 MPH of overdrive.
- Requires a stock Ridge belt.
- correct backspacing for clutch alignment with a h2 or ridge primary
- A stock KRX will have a hard time using the overdrive because of the lack of power.
- Adjustable weights are highly recommended to fine-tune your application.
- KRX 3-arm, 2025+ Ridge Crew, all 2026 Ridge, and H2 weights are all interchangeable.
Clutch Combinations
H2 Primary – H2 Secondary - THIS IS WHAT WE USE AND TESTED WITH THE MOST
- This is the setup we're using in our turbo KRX with KWI adjustable weights in the primary.
H2 Primary – Ridge Secondary
- Also used on our turbo KRX
- We have reached 85 MPH with this configuration
H2 Primary – KRX Secondary
- krx secondary sits further out on the transmission shaft, will still work
- Uses heavier weights in the primary.
- Not recommended for stock horsepower machines.
- If you're worried about the H2 recall issue, don't use this setup.
- Good configuration for supercharged or turbocharged machines.
Ridge Primary – H2 Secondary
- H2 secondary has the stiffest spring and has the correct backspacing for our system to work as intended
- Runs at a higher RPM than the Ridge Primary / KRX Secondary combination.
- Great starting point for a stock-engine KRX running larger tires.
Ridge Primary – KRX Secondary
- Great starting point for a stock KRX.
- Closest to the stock RPM range.
- Least expensive option.
- Uses a stock KRX belt
